Mr. Cottontail

My friend is having a baby boy very soon and the shower was the other weekend. Of course I had to make a cute little toy for this sweet little boy so Mr. Cottontail was born.

He's a serious little fellow. His little arms and legs are the perfect size for a little one to grab onto and chew on.

His ears are lined with a soft flannel. And the satin tie was my husbands suggestion, and a good one at that.

I think the tie really finished off  his attitude.

I think this little guy just may inspire my next line of children's toys at my Etsy Shop!

Got Doilies?

I'm not really the doilie type. So when I was given a few doilies that were my Grammy's, I polotely accepted and packed them away with my other linens. Then I saw this great and atristic way to display the beauty and skill that can be found in a doily.

Frame it!

Layer the doily on top of a fabric that coordinates with the room and showcase them on the wall.

I used white thread and stitched in a few places to keep the doily in place. Then I situated the fabric & backing into the frame and viola!

I have a pair of these in my kitchen and they make a very grand display on either side of a large shelf.
